Keanu Reeves says turning 40 was like being “in a club with a secret handshake.” The 44-year-old actor – who can next be seen in sci-fi movie “The Day the Earth Stood Still” alongside Jennifer Connelly – felt more included in his group of friends when he reached the landmark birthday.z


He said: “It’s funny – when you get to 40 it’s like being in a club with a secret handshake! I remember my doctor telling me to enjoy my forties because I will still have my physical capabilities but also my life experiences.”
“We should take advantage of that before the physical capabilities slip away.”

Keanu – who has previously starred in movies including “The Matrix” film franchise and “Constantine” – also said he doesn’t mind if he becomes known for starring in sci-fi movies because he enjoys the genre.

He added to Britain’s The Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I grew up liking science fiction – it’s almost like a Trojan horse. You can put any other genre inside. You can do a romance like ‘Blade Runner,’ you can do an action romance like ‘Star Wars’ or a comedy like ‘Spaceballs.’ It really translates well into other genres.”
“As to whether I get stereotyped for doing sci-fi, I don’t know. For me, sci-fi is just one of the things I can do.”

“She’s there [in Maryland] meeting his family for the first time,” a source says.

Charlize Theron for Princess Diana role?

Charlize Theron could be set to play Princess Diana in a Hollywood movie.
The South African-born actress is being lined up for the role, which tells the tale of the princess’ relationship with former bodyguard Ken Wharfe, who is to be played by Ewan McGregor.
The movie will be produced by BAFTA award-winning Stephen Evans, who wants to make a film based on Wharfe’s controversial book ‘Diana: Closely Guarded Secret’, detailing the eight years he spent with the princess – who died in 1997 – as her personal protection officer.
Yesterday it emerged that film company Pathe are hoping to make their own biopic of the princess with Keira Knightley in the lead role.
Pathe are hoping for a 2011 release to mark what would have been the princess’ 50th birthday.
An insider told the Daily Mail: “There’s a buzz about this. Pathe also made ‘The Duchess’, which starred Keira as Georgiana, the fifth Duchess of Devonshire – the great-great-great-great aunt of Diana – and controversially used an image of Diana to trail the movie.
“They believe the footage made the film a big hit in America where Diana still has a loyal following.”
Meanwhile, Dame Helen Mirren – who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in 2006 film ‘The Queen’ – has been named as a potential actress to play Diana’s mother Francis Shand Kydd.

According to the New York Post Gibson, 54, is set to do a cameo in The Hangover 2.
“It’s a done deal,” a source tells the paper. “Mel will make a cameo as a tattoo artist.”
The film will feature the same crew from the original smash hit – Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zack Galifianakis and Justin Bartha and, notably, Ken Jeong as the wacky gangster – and will bring the pals to Thailand where the find danger lurking in Bangkok. Mike Tyson’s cameo in the first installment tickled audiences and showed a comedic side to the controversial boxer.

Justin Bieber Being Investigated Over Laser Tag Mishap

TORONTO — Canadian pop star Justin Bieber is under police investigation over an alleged laser tag game mishap with a 12-year-old. Bieber, 16, was trying to avoid getting tagged during a game on Friday and accidentally knocked over the unidentified boy, whose injuries were minor, The Vancouver Sun reported on Sunday.
However, other reports suggest that there may have been more to the incident.
“A bunch of 12-year-olds surrounded Justin inside the laser tag maze and started shooting at him,” said blogger Zack Taylor on NBC’s TODAY.  “Like any other kid playing laser tag, he bolted right through the laser tag area and accidentally hit one of the 12-year-old kids in the face.”
The 12-year-old’s father reported the incident to the police, saying that his son was assaulted and sustained minimal injuries. No medical attention was needed.
Other blogs report that Bieber may have been the victim of jeers at the arcade.
“According to reports, some kids were taunting him with homophobic remarks and that may have started the whole altercation,” said Kristin Benson, editor at Hollywoodlife.com.
“There is an active investigation,” Royal Canadian Mounted Police spokeswoman Corporal Annie Linteau told the paper. “We are in the process of interviewing a number of people that saw what might have happened.”
Bieber is due to perform a show in Vancouver on Tuesday.

Is Lindsay Lohan Going Back to Jail This Week?

For now, what’s better for Lindsay Lohan: more jail or more rehab?
That’s the question a Beverly Hills judge is expected to address Friday when the actress faces a probation violation hearing for failing a drug test last month in her DUI case.
Lohan, 24, who’s ordered to appear in person, has voluntarily spent the last three weeks at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. – at least her fifth time in rehab – after she bailed out of jail on Sept. 24.
“The key here is her progress in treatment,” says L.A. criminal defense attorney Steve Sitkoff, who’s not involved in the case. “The better she’s doing in rehab, the less likely Judge Elden Fox will throw her in jail.”
Any number of scenarios could play out on Friday:
• Lohan could be found in violation and be sent back to jail on the spot
• The actress could be ordered to stay in rehab in lieu of jail
• She might skip the hearing if her attorney can provide a letter from the Betty Ford Center demonstrating her progress
• Judge Fox could postpone the hearing all together to see how well she does in treatment
“Judge Fox has to balance whether to help Lindsay with her addiction or punish her with jail,” says Sitkoff. “But if she continues to mess up by not following the court’s orders, he won’t hesitate to lock her up.”

Rod Stewart’s Son Arrested

Rod Stewart’s son Sean was detained by police in Los Angeles on Tuesday after his car was stopped by traffic cops, who discovered an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The 30 year old was driving through the San Fernando Valley when his car was pulled over for an alleged traffic violation. The officers are then said to have arrested him after they found out a warrant had been issued for Stewart for allegedly driving on a suspended licence.
He was checked into a police station in Beverly Hills before being released later that evening after posting $40,000 (£26,667) bail, according to TMZ.com.
