Move over, Dr. Oz. Dr. Ozzy is giving out health advice.
Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne, infamous for the drug and alcohol abuse that left him barely able to utter a coherent sentence, is writing a book based on the crazy “survival stories” of his past, according to a press release.
Earlier this year, the Prince of Darkness began offering medical advice to British fans in the U.K.’s Sunday Times. In America, Rolling Stone magazine recently launched an “Ask Dr. Ozzy” column — which will also be the title of his new book.
“Ask Dr. Ozzy” will “tell incredible survival stories not found in his memoir, offer advice that no human should follow, and shed light on his seemingly superhuman ability to keep breathing,” according to the press release.
It is expected to hit store shelves in October 2011...

Earlier this year, science confirmed what we always suspected: Osbourne is a genetic mutant.
As the rocker himself put it, “Given the swimming pools of booze I’ve guzzled over the years — not to mention all of the cocaine, morphine, sleeping pills, cough syrup, LSD, Rohypnol . . . you name it — there’s really no plausible medical reason why I should still be alive. Maybe my DNA could say why.
“And it certainly did. Not only did they find some interesting patterns; they also found a few things that they claim they’ve never even seen before.”
Turns out, Ozzy has an increased predisposition for alcohol dependence of something like six times higher than normal — which didn’t surprise his wife, Sharon, in the slightest.
“I’ve always said that at the end of the world there will be roaches, Ozzy and Keith Richards. He’s going to outlive us all,” she quipped.
